The Procedure Involved in Getting a Filling
Most adults who have at least one dental filling are familiar with the process involved, and that hasn’t changed with tooth-colored fillings. It begins with Dr. Jaros numbing the affected tooth and surrounding gum tissue, then removing all existing decay and the old filling material (if the new filling will be replacing an old one). Next, Dr. Jaros thoroughly cleans the tooth, then fills it with the composite material. The end result is a repaired tooth that looks exactly like the patient’s other healthy teeth!
